First Lutheran Church 125th Anniversary
The theme for our 125th Anniversary is "Lifting High the Cross for 125 years." the words of a chorus to a hymn come to mind. "Lift the cross, the love of Christ proclaim till all the world adore his sacred name." This theme certainly fits well with our mission statement which is "Working hand in hand to know Christ and make Christ known through Worship, Christian Education, Caring Ministries and Service."
The cross of Christ has been lifted up in this place by lay people and pastors throughout the years through fellowship, education, worship and caring for one another. We are all seeking to know Christ and make Christ known.
We look forward to "Lifting High the Cross: at First Lutheran Church, in Washburn and in North Dakota, and throughout the world through our ministry for many years to come.
